The new Mercedes-Benz EQA electric SUV will be the little brother of EQC, which is also expected in the spring / summer of 2021. EQA is in practice an electric version of the Mercedes-Benz GLA hybrid model. The first model out is the EQA 250 with front-wheel drive, 190 hp and a range of 426 kilometers (WLTP). Later there will be more powerful versions with up to 200 kW and four-wheel drive.
The lithium-ion battery in EQA is integrated as a structural element in the car's chassis and has an energy content of 66.5 kWh. . The Mercedes-Benz EQA electric SUV will be built in Rastatt (Germany) and the battery system will be supplied by Mercedes-Benz's subsidiary Accumotive in Kamenz.
Included as standard is the intuitive infotainment system MBUX (Mercedes-Benz User Experience). Also included are LED High Performance headlights with adaptive high beam assistant, electric EASY-PACK tailgate, 18-inch alloy wheels, ambient lighting, luxurious seats with four-way adjustable lumbar support, reversing camera and a multifunction sports steering wheel.
The towing capacity of the EQA 250 is 750 kilos and is approved for use with a bicycle rack.
